 John Simpson Partner/Vice President John Simpson joined ScaleTrader.Net in 2010 as Vice President and Partner. John has over 30 years of experience in the scale industry, starting as a balance service technician for Gerhart Scale in his early 20's. Over the past 30 years John has spent time working for both manufacturer's, as the Regional Manager for Cardinal Scale and also local high volume scale dealers based in New Jersey. Besides selling numerous truck and railroad track scales. John has an extensive education and knowledge of scale planning from site layout, foundation construction, weights and measures and aarp requirements, scale traffic control and much more. | Company History: ScaleTrader.Net, originally known as the Truck & Rail Scale Company, was founded in 2008 by Steve Mizerak. After a successful career in industrial weighing equipment working for major scale truck scale manufacturer's and distributors, Steve decided the time was right to branch out on his own. Seeing no single avenue in the truck scale market for used equipment, Steve forged onward to establish a business brokering used truck scales. Steve's further appetite for equipment led expansion of the Truck & Rail Scale Company from just another local scale company onward into material handling equipment used by many of the same companies who had or needed a truck scale outside. Over time spent in the scale industry the relationships Steve developed with his customers always let to the question, "what else does your company offer" and the idea for the Truck & Rail Scale Company was born. In 2011, the Truck & Rail Scale Company was rebranded as ScaleTrader.Net, to accurately reflect it's business mission. Over the past 10 years Steve has sold numerous truck scales to transfer stations, scrap metal operations and many other industries. Notable clients scales have been sold to include Waste Management, Sims Metal Management, Hanson Aggregates, BOC Gases, Wheelabrator and LaFarge. He has sold a combination of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic truck scales from Fairbanks, Rice Lake, Emery Winslow, Avery Weigh-Tronix, and Cardinal Scale during his 10 year career. |
